ATTENTION: DEAF AND HARD-OF-HEARING COMMUNITIES
We encourage you to attend a Court hearing in support of a civil rights lawsuit. The lawsuit was brought by the Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness (GLAD) on behalf of its members with hearing loss, and three individual plaintiffs. This lawsuit seeks to make CNN.com offer closed captioning to its online video news content.
Currently, CNN.com does not provide any video captioning on its website. This excludes people with hearing loss from accessing critical news information that CNN.com features on video.
If you can attend the Court hearing in support of this important issue, please RSVP with your email to Bina Patel at: bpatel@dralegal.org. It’s strongly recommended that you RSVP so that if the court hearing date changes, we will be able to notify you of this change.
