As a member of the FCC Emergency Access Advisory Committee (http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/dro/EAAC/), I am providing you link to a survey regarding access to 9-1-1 emergency services. The survey is available in English (http://fcc.eaac.sgizmo.com/s3), American Sign Language (http://fcc.eaac.sgizmo.com/s3) and Spanish (http://fcc.eaac-es.sgizmo.com/s3). The survey in word document is also attached. This survey will be available until April 24, 2011.
The 9-1-1 system is changing and a new Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG 9-1-1) system will allow you to call 9-1-1 directly using text, video, and other kinds of communication devices. The EAAC is conducting this survey to better understand your experience using 9-1-1 services and what would help you to communicate with 9-1-1 effectively in the future.
Please only answer this survey if (1) you are 13 years or older, (2) have a disability or a senior, and (3) live in the United States. We encourage you to respond to this survey by April 24, 2011.
Thank you very much for your participation. Your input is extremely valuable and will help us to shape a better 9-1-1 system in the future. Please share this with your families and friends.
