ACTION ALERT! AB 2072 ON SENATE FLOOR THIS WEEK – CALL, FAX, EMAIL YOUR SENATOR NOW

Call your local Senators today to kill AB 2072. It will be introduced to the floor for all Senators to vote most likely this Friday.

Kill AB 2072 due to the following factors:

• The bill was changed to a clinical type bill, not for parents to get unbiased information on language acquisition.
• We asked ASL to stay in the bill but Assembly member Mendoza removed it and replaced it with “Visual Language”
• Mendoza added 16 amendments without our knowledge
• The panel evaluating the brochures will be representing medical fields…not an even balance between medical experts and ASL experts.
• There are too many flaws in the 2072 and it will not give parents unbiased information on their newborn babies who are deaf or hard of hearing.
